Sublimation

In science we did an experiment to do with Dry Ice,

As the water hits the Dry Ice a particular Gas is produced this gas is known as CO2  Carbon dioxide.

Unlike normal ice that is made from frozen water, dry ice does not melt.

We placed a few piece of dry ice into a beaker, and then added water,

i watched as the gas was being produced, then we played around with the carbon dioxide, for example pouring it on to our bench and then making a tornado with a simple hand movement.

Sugar Crystals

Currently in science we are making Sugar Crystals

Aim:To make a sugar crystal out of a very saturated solution

Equipment:Beakers,Bunsen Burner,Tripod,Heat proof mat,Gauze Mat,Stirring Rod,stick

Ingredients:250 grams of Sugar, 50ml of water

Method:

Start by gathering the equipment and ingredients

Fill up your measuring cylinder with 50ml of water

Pour into beaker, Boil water with Bunsen Burner or if your at home boil the jug

When the water is bubbling take it of the Bunsen burner,add sugar bit by bit until the water turn into a kind of wax

Now add flavoring and coloring if you would like.

Now cover your stick with sugar so that the sugar crystal will be able to form.

You can now place you stick into your beaker or cup and use something to hold the stick above the cup 

they will be ready in a week or 2

Making Crystals can separate a solid from a liquid, However a highly concentrated solution was needed (Saturated Solution) in order for crystal to grow

A Hyperbole Means: Over exaggeration

for example ( My mum gonna kill me! )

( I've been waiting for ages! )

Hyperbole can be used to exaggerated peoples feelings

it your making it sound more important

A  Alliteration Means: Like repeating letter sounds

for example ( How many snacks, could a snack stacker stack, if a snack stacker snacked stacked snacks )

Alliteration can effect the reader's into reading one pacific part of the book, poem and text.

It also creates a rhythmic kind of sentence

Friday May 9th

Roaming through the graveyard it felt like something was watching me.

Every step taken was like my next nightmare, something just waiting to jump out of no where and scare m. as fear builds up inside me I  make a  horrendous  decision to run barefoot, scraping my feet against the tough jagged surface, not knowing where to run I take a rest beside a smooth rock. All of a sounder I hear a big moan beside the rock I was resting on, glancing in the distance I slowly turn my head towards the sound, tears full my face immediately, noticing a ghost figure charging towards me, as it came closer and closer. I start bolting straight a head, until coming upon a long depressing road, with no cars in sight, and the ghost figure still chasing me, I jump it to a bush, being as silent as possible. While hidden in the bush, keeping an close eye on the ghostly figure cruise by in complete disbelieve, as it couldn't see me. I soon rush out of my hiding spot, just to see that the road was changing when I blinked, First it would be all Rainbow & bubbly  then it would change dramatically into a  Lightless Horror. The weird thing was there were cars showing up, but with know one in the drivers set, and almost every car I'd watched drive past disappeared as if they never existed. After about 25 cars drove past I strolled ahead following both roads, cars we still driving past but still nobody in them, for a second I thought I was going crazy.
Still strolling along the side of the road I come upon this girl, I scream from the top of my lungs "HELLO" to the lonely girl with relief, she hadn't heard me the first time so I screamed again, she replied back "WE NEED TO RUN". I went close to her, she grabbed my hand and started pulling me along with her, I had asked her "Why are we running?" she didn't reply.....
 awhile later she had the courage to make a noise "sigh"  we didn't speak after that.
About 2 hours had past and we stilled hadn't talk , I was gonna Say Hi to the girl but my stomach had grumbled, so instead of saying hi I went on a hunt for food.

Christchurch  Mosque Shootings

SEEL Paragraph

S:The Christchurch mosque shooting were two consecutive terrorist attacks at mosque in Christchurch New Zealand.

E:During Friday prayers on 15 march 2019, The attacks began at the Al Noor Mosque in a Suburb of Riccarton at 1:40pm & continued at the Linwood Islamic centre at about 1:50pm

E:This Shooting lead to 50 people killed, and about 47 men & 3 Woman among the men,

Most of the woman didn't get killed because of the way mosque are set up. due to there separate prayer rooms

L:The affects of this attack will last a life time for those affected by this tragedy and have had there loved ones taken so soon and all schools the Christchurch schools were put in lockdown for about 3 hours and got released around 6:00pm

I Picked The Keyboard because it was one of the only instrument i really knew how to play

I felt Nervous and embarrassed  but my performance was not bad but out of 10 i would give me a 5

WHare Tapa wha

Whare Tapa wha is about the four dimensions of hauora and how they all connect together, Here they are Taha Tinana, Taha Wairua, Taha Hinengaro, Taha Whanau
This is useful to understand because without the four walls tof well-being he whare will collapse and your body would be unhealthy.
I participated Alright and in contributed by making a wall of the whare and helping on the roof,
Next time i'll try make our whare look a bit more detailed, It was challenging when we had to finish our whare in and certain amount of time and i coped with this challenge pretty well   and next time i'll try complet the Whare tapawha in time
