My Years at Sockburn School

2010/ 2011
My Memories with 1 of my favorite teachers at this school Mrs Ingram.

Starting at Sockburn School as a new entrant and a year one was one of the most awkward  things that have happened to me. At first I was a bit too shy to tell the classroom my name but eventually it had to came out. My favorite thing about Mrs Ingram is that she was always encouraging students to do their best work.

2012
Year 2 starting with new teachers and making new friends.
My teachers that I had in room 13 were Mrs Clements and Miss Green. They were two of the funniest teachers that I had. Every morning our class would sing a song that we can dance to and my favourite song  back then went a little like this ‘a tutu nana tutu nana tutu nana’. Although I had half of the term with Miss Green and Mrs Clements I had to move on as a year 2. I had Mr Crookbain. He was a fun and sporty teacher. Most things that I can remember about Mr Crookbain is that he left us to go to Canada for his wedding.

2013
Year 3 with the most sportiest teacher I know Mr Kerr.
Mr Kerr was one of the most sportiest teachers in Sockburn.
Although he didn't look sporty he was. In fact Mr Kerr once said that he played cricket for the Black Caps when he was in his 30s. When Mr Kerr was 39   he retired from cricket to be a teacher at Sockburn School. My favorite thing about Mr Kerr was that he would hand out Kerr credits and we could spend them on basically anything school related.

2014
Year 4 with yet  again Mr Kerr and Mrs Blue.
On the first term of 2014 our class had one of the funnest teachers and her name was Mrs Blue.  Every morning Mrs Blue would get us to run to the football post and back. Also she would choose the most well behaved student to hand out Kerr credits for the day. Handing out Kerr credits is like being the dude of the day.
My favorite thing about Mrs Blue and Mr Kerr is that they're both fun and and they both have a brightened mind on basicly anything.

2015
Year 5 with Mr Barrow and Mrs Boswell in the claustrophobic rooms of  1,2 and 3.
Mr Barrow and Mrs Boswell were the teachers of our class. They were a bit bossy, how a teacher is meant to be, although it was still fun! Even if we got told off  it wasn’t a big deal. When a student in our class got a CARES award they would get to choose out of the box of fun. That was a special  moment for whoever got a CARES award.
My favorite moment with Mr Barrow was when he would tell jokes that are actually funny and my favorite thing about Mrs Boswell is that she is always happy
and we get to do fun things with her.

This year/2016
Year 6 with Mr Barrow and Mrs Boswell yet again.
In term 1 some of the year 6s got to have a chance at trying to be house captain.
As you might know I got selected as a Blue house captain for the girls and joining me was Greg who got selected for the boys. Halfway through term 2 we got a new teacher that was Annabel  McCormick. She was one of most fabulous teachers during the rest of the year. Miss McCormick was fitting into Sockburn and became one of the best teachers that I have had.
My favorite memory about Miss McCormick is that she is always fun and AWESOME.
It is so sad that I have to leave but I can’t stay at sockburn school for ever.

HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY YEAR AT SOCKBURN SCHOOL!!!
