Safety Signs

Safety signs
So far in CMM we have been learning about the different types of signs, these signs are known as:

1.Hazards/Cautions- The yellow triangle
2.Mandatory/ Must do -The Blue circle with a white background
3.Prohibited/Not permitted- The red circle with a line crossing through

What is a hazard?
Some think that is dangerous or can put your at risk.

Give 3 examples and explain where you would likely see them and what action you would take.
Examples
1.If your bag is in the middle of a walk way it could became a tripping hazard-Yellow triangle

2.You must not talk to a friend while and teacher/ student is talking or presenting- Blue circle with a white background

3.If the teacher isn't present you are prohibited from the work shop- Red circle with a line crossing through

Explain
1. You could find a yellow hazard sign at your local supermarkets, where
the floor might me slippery.

2. You could possible find a Mandatory sign in  the school work shops.

3.A prohibited sign could be found outside of an construction site.

What is PPE
Personal protective equipment






PPE is equipment that will protect the user against health or safety risks at work. It can include items such as safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear and possible safety harnesses. It also includes respiratory protective equipment.
